NRG Energy says it plans to launch construction of its 250-megawatt California Valley Solar Ranch in San Luis Obispo County, Calif., early next year. The solar power plant will be one of the largest photovoltaic solar power plants in the world, when complete.
US Solar Ventures, which made the sale, is a joint venture between ArcLight affiliates and management. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. The nine development projects, in California and Arizona, range in size from 20 MW to 99 MW and could be up and running between 2011 and 2013. Read More »
