It’s Blog Action Day and I Haven’t Even Started Shopping Yet!

You probably didn’t know it, but today is Blog Action Day, on which bloggers from around the world shift their attention from writing about their cats, Chairman Meow and President Eisenwhiskers, to climate change.

Blog Action Day, which first started three years ago, is organized by the social action blog network Change.org. CNN.com has a nice summary of the event, here.

Change.org was claiming almost 9,000 blog participants in 149 countries as of 11 a.m. EST. GER registered, too because, hey, why not?

We were going to provide a roundup of some of the more interesting comments but got stuck on this great blog from Denmark called, for reasons that aren’t clear, “Kadaver, Off The Record.”

Here’s their post and YouTube video, called Hopenhagen sunbathing. It’s safe for work.

On October 9, more than 50 Copenhageners concerned about the climate sunbathed on Town Square in the name of Hopenhagen. The message was crystal clear: We hope for a new signed climate change policy in december in order to ensure the future of our planet.
