Duke Energy gets green light for 99 MW Wyoming wind project

Duke Energy was granted environmental approval from Wyoming regulators forĀ  its $179 million, 99-megawatt Campbell Hill Windpower Project located near Casper, Wyo.

The Wyoming Industrial Siting Council approved the project unanimously. Duke is expected to start construction on the 66 turbine- facility in the coming weeks. Once operational, in early 2010, the project will sell its output under a 20 year-power purchase agreement to Rocky Mountain Power.
