GE Leads Investment in Energy Efficient Building Maker

by Terrence Murray - September 7, 2011

GE Energy Financial Services has led a $22 million venture investment in energy efficiency company Project Frog.

As part of this funding round Project Frog, headed by former BP marketing executive Ann Hand, also secured investments from Claremont Creek Ventures, Greener Capital Partners and RockPort Capital Partners.

The San Francisco-based company will use the money to expand its sales pipeline and execute on orders.

Project Frog has developed a pre-engineered kit that once deployed makes buildings more energy efficient. The Project Frog materials are built using a unique three-dimensional software modeling solution and are deployed on educational and government organizations, healthcare offices and retail spaces.
