Merrill Lynch Beefs Up Cleantech I-Banking Team

Bank of America Merrill Lynch has hired two cleantech bankers from Deutsche Bank Securities.

Jon Krahulik joins Merrill as a managing director and global head of clean tech investment banking and Riaz Ladhabhoy as director of clean technology investment banking. Both will start working there in the summer, based in the firm’s Palo Alto, Calif., office. They report to Chet Bozdog, the global head of technology corporate and investment banking.

Krahulik spent four years at Deutsche Bank where he eventually lead the firm’s clean tech investment banking effort. He also worked in the global technology group at Lehman Brothers. Ladhabhoy spent more than five years in the technology investment banking group at Deutsche Bank and before that was an associate at law firm Cooley Godward.

“The addition of Jon and Riaz, two of the most seasoned thought leaders in the space, is an exciting prospect as we expand our capabilities to help these clients grow their businesses and continue to innovate,” said Bozdog in a prepared statement.
