Shares for the NASDAQ-listed stock ended the day at $23.49, for a valuation of $2.2 billion. The stock was priced at $17 last night. Analysts doubt that the electric car company can sustain this high price and expect it to drop in coming weeks as the buzz dies down. It also isn’t clear if Tesla’s success is a signal that cleantech IPOs will be well received.

But overall, a great first day for Tesla.
